This is a lovely set of charming cottages nestled in the picturesque Surrey Hills that I pass by quite frequently. On this particular cold and crisp morning, I was patiently waiting for the sun to rise and gently cast its warm light across the entire scene, creating a beautiful and serene winter atmosphere.

I came across this wonderful autumn scene while wandering in the deep, shadowed woods of Savernake Forest. There is something quietly enchanting about silver birch trees — always appearing delicate and subtly luminous against the forest gloom.
This photograph was taken early in the morning, just before the sun began to rise. It was a chilly morning, with frost gently covering the ground. As the early morning mist slowly evaporated from the water, it created a beautiful, soft atmosphere that unfolded before my eyes. The presence of the red boat provided an additional focal point, enhancing the overall composition of the picture.
